God of War, God of War II, & God of War Collection Comparisons

God of War Collection comes out on November 17th along with a couple of other major titles so I'm just going to say now - that's going to be one hell of a rough week for game reviews. The God of War Collection isn't a remake of the original titles per se, but a high definition conversion of the classic titles for those who missed the game the first time around and wanted to play them before God of War III comes out in March. Here both titles will be released on one Blu-ray disc at the same price that they are if you were to pick both titles up brand new today for the PS2 or $40.00. What's nice about this is that while it could have just looked like a money-grab on Sony's part, it actually makes sense. The amount of time that it must have taken to convert these over to HD and the costs to press a few hundred-thousand Blu-ray discs is nothing for such a drop-in-the-bucket title.

I actually own both of the original titles, have never played them, and I still pre-ordered this version (I'm a sucker for HD). The best part is that these titles genuinely look significantly better than the original games - at least based on several comparison shots that Bitmob released on Friday.

Please click the links below to view their comparisons. Let me tell you now, you will need to click the images and open them in new tabs (or windows) and flip back and forth to see the differences - it's very noticeable when you view the images full-size. Oh, and FYI, there are several pictures in each set that are NSFW...
